ZOOKEEPER IN TRAINING 2007

$18.00 per boy and $9.00 per adult

So you want to be a zookeeper?  Find out if you’ve got what it takes!  Try your hand at a zookeeper’s unique chores in this action-packed morning workshop at the Reid Park Zoo. Journey behind-the-scenes to prepare animal meals and treats, diagnose some common animal maladies, and even clean a night house!  You’ll find out how our zookeepers provide the best possible care for over 500 animals every day.  Cub Scouts can also work on the Wildlife Conservation and the Science belt loop and pin requirements.

Leave your best clothes (like uniforms) at home and come prepared to get down and dirty at the zoo.  We’ll meet at the front gate of the zoo at 8:30 a.m. , and return the group to the same location for pickup at 11:30 a.m.   Siblings and children under 6 are not permitted at this event.  This program will be offered:
