Annual Bag-A-Thon Food Drive
to fill the pantry at the Interfaith Community Services Food Bank
Participating units can drop empty paper bags on doorstops in neighborhoods of their choice and come back to pick up the (hopefully!) full bags the following weekend. We provide the bags and maps (just let us know which neighborhoods you’d like to hit.) We provide a template of the informational flyer that needs to be attached to the bags but ask that your group makes copies and attached them to the bags. This is a very fun service project that many scouts look forward to every year!
Food drop off/delivery:
Saturday, November 4, 2017, 9a – 1p
Canyon Del Oro (CDO) Baptist Church, 9200 N Oracle Road
Food and fun provided!
*If your unit is attending Camporee we can arrange for pick up there.
Bag drop off:
Most units drop empty bags in neighborhoods on the Saturday prior to the collection/drop off date. This year that would mean dropping bags on Saturday, October 28.
Please let us know no later than September 15 if you will participate. (But the sooner the better so we can order enough bags.)
