Be Safe Saturday
March 28, 2020
Catalina Council has been a proud community supporter since 2018.
Each March, more than 13,000 families visit Tucson Medical Center, Lot 11, for our annual, free children’s safety event. In 2020, Be Safe Saturday is March 28.
At Be Safe Saturday families can obtain free bike helmets and booster seats. TMC Security offers free child ID fingerprinting. Some 100 community partners are on hand at interactive booths providing fun health and safety education and demonstrations.
Safe Kids Pima County and the Tucson Police Department offer car seat safety checks, too.
Check back later for our flyer that you can share and lists participants as well as a map to the event.

Festival of Books
March 14-15, 2020
Catalina Council has been a proud community supporter since 2010.
The Tucson Festival of Books is a community-wide celebration of literature. Offered free-of-charge, the Festival exists to improve literacy rates among children and adults. All proceeds from the Festival are used to sustain the event and support local literacy programs.
We are looking for volunteers to help staff a Scouting/STEM booth. We have 3 hour shifts (so you can still have plenty of time to visit all of the other booths).
