(For New Eagle Scouts from January 2018 through December 2018)
How to Get on Base: Go in Craycroft entrance to the base located South of Golflinks & Craycroft. Have your photo ID ready to present. Passengers should also be ready to present photo ID’s. Tell the guard that you are there to attend the Boy Scout Eagle Dinner. They will check to make sure you are on a pre-approved security list and provide you with instructions to Club Ironwood. (Note: If you do not timely turn in base clearance information you will NOT be granted access to Davis-Monthan.)
Once you are on base, continue straight on Craycroft for appox. .8 miles. Turn left at the stop light at Ironwood Street.
The venue will be on your left. There is a large parking lot to the left of the building and a small parking lot to the right.
The entrance to the building is on Ironwood, on the South end of the building. There is a circular driveway in the front of the entrance. Please check-in.
Boneyard Tour (Optional): For Eagle Scout & Summit Award Honorees. Participants MUST be at Club Ironwood by 4:45 PM to participate. The tour lasts for an hour. A photo of the Eagle Scouts will be taken during the tour. Family members may socialize and look at the Eagle Project Displays or mingle on the patio until the dining room opens. Please know we do understand that it may be difficult for some to arrive early enough to participate in the tour. Unfortunately, we must start the tour at this time to be finished before it gets dark.
Project Display (Strongly Encouraged but Optional): Eagle Scout Honorees can put up a display at this event. You will have approximately 3 feet of a banquet table for your display. The contents of your project are your decision. We suggest a 3-part stand-up poster board and your Eagle Project Notebook. You will not have walls to hang items. The projects will be judged by a panel of judges based upon the information provided in your display. Cash awards will be given for First Place, Second Place and Third Place. The NESA project that Catalina Council submits to the Region will be selected at this event.
