LEADER SPECIFIC TRAINING

All Cub Scout and Scouts BSA Leaders, including Committee Members, need to complete Leader Specific Training to be considered trained for the position they hold.

There are two options to complete this training:

1. On-line self paced courses are available on my.scouting.org

2. The Sky Islands District Training Team will come to you and conduct in person training,   To do this, you must have 5 adults and provide a classroom, meeting room, or similar location to conduct the training.

Contact Fran Kearney, Sky Islands District Training Chair, at fkearney1@cox.net.

Request a Training

Do your leaders need to be trained? A unit may request that the Sky Islands District Training Team conduct a training session for the leaders of that unit.

Cub Leader Specific – Cubmasters/Assistants, Den Leaders, Committee Members

Scouts BSA Leader Specific – Scoutmasters/Assistants, Committee Members

Here is what your unit needs to do:

  • Gather at least 5 people to take the training (this can be just your unit, but also can include people from other nearby units). Provide a meeting place to conduct the training
  • Please contact the Sky Islands District training chair, Francis Kearney, at fkearney1@cox.net or 520 257-7415
