Training

The Boy Scouts of America, Catalina Council hosts many training events and seminars throughout the year to support both youth and adults in Scouting.

Adult Training

Adult leaders in Scouting are required to take Youth Protection training and are encouraged to take other courses in order to give them the necessary skills for carrying out the aims of Scouting.

Youth Training

The Council hosts these events throughout the year to help Scouts to learn new leadership skills and to develop public speaking and critical thinking techniques.

Outdoor Ethics

Outdoor Ethics (OE) is Scouting’s relationship with the outdoors and nature, and how the Scout Oath and Law apply to outdoor events and activities.

Aquatics Training

BSA Lifeguard, Paddle Craft Safety, and numerous other trainings and certifications are available to Scouters to expand their skills in water-based activities.

Shooting Sports Training

The Council offers numerous pistol, shotgun, and other shooting sports trainings here in Southern Arizona.

First Aid Training

Proper first aid training is critical for hosting outdoor events and activities, and to ensure the safety of all youth.
